Back to sewing......

July 4th was busy and fun! We very much enjoyed our local parade, a visit with family, barbecue, and a huge fireworks display. Hope your day was equally wonderful and filled with celebration! Now that everyone has slept in and recovered slightly (thank goodness for coffee!) let's talk sewing.....

The design is complete for our very first block of the month pattern. That means we'll be super busy stitching blocks and building a gorgeous quilt over the next few weeks. We hope to have it ready for Houston International Quilt Festival. There will certainly be some sneak peaks here, on Instagram, and on Facebook so follow along!

I have a quick addition to our show schedule. You may have noticed a double booking? September promises to be busy for us! We couldn't pass up our hometown show (Granbury) or the show that gave us our start (Trinity Valley) so we will do our best to be in two places at once!

We've had a lot of new (for us!) projects in the works lately...

Be on the look-out for the new QuiltMania title "Simply Moderne" this summer, as we have a project in it! We've also been patiently awaiting our debut project in the Autumn issue of Primitive Quilts and Projects magazine which will quickly be followed by another in the winter issue.
Exciting stuff, right? We do hope you'll purchase them from your local quilt shops or booksellers.
I will share some sneak peeks as the release dates near.

It's a super cool quilt show aimed at a more modern audience. Not to say it excludes any quilter or sewist! We attended two years ago and marveled at the new and unusual twists...this year promises to be even better.

Autumn is my favorite time of year! It could be that my birthday (October) skews things a bit, but Halloween and Thanksgiving are right up there on the list of things that make me happy.
