We have been so busy creating new patterns and making beautiful samples to tempt you! Once again, you can see all the new goodies and grab patterns & kits at our Houston Quilt Festival booth #2313.
Festival begins with Preview Night on November 1 and is in full swing November 2-5.

I will post my class/workshop schedule this week. I will be teaching punch needle, embroidery, wool applique, English paper piecing, and David will offer rug hooking.

QuiltCon Savannah

Who's headed to QuiltCon East next week? You've heard of it, yes?!

We always say QuiltCon is the most interesting quilt show of the year- not only for modern quilters, but for traditional sewers, as well. We love the "anything goes" attitude. You like handwork? Great! Machine sewing? Great! Garments? Quilts? Home decor? Children's toys? All great! Stitchers from all over the world converge to gush about sewing- AWESOME! It certainly doesn't hurt that it's being held in beautiful Savannah, Georgia with it's beautiful winter weather and historic sites.

We've been busily dyeing wool, designing new patterns, stitching samples, and packing as much as we can possibly fit. Can't wait to get there!

Oh, and stop by booth #108 & trade buttons or grab a limited edition t-shirt!

Hello 2017! What's new?

Wow! January is flying by. I have finally put away the Christmas tree and decorations. Does anyone else take their time doing this? It seems like I don't really get to enjoy things until AFTER the holidays are over, so I let the decorations linger a bit - much to David's amusement! He loves to tell people that I leave the tree up for months. Pffffht. Do not!
Whilst enjoying the coziness of the season, we have been working on lots of new patterns, samples, and our teaching schedule.

In case you haven't seen a copy yet, the summer issue of Simply Vintage by QuiltMania is out and it's a beauty! Our Summer Still Life is featured on page 66 and kits are available. I have been a terrible blogger! The holidays, while lovely, put me off my schedule and I've had a hard time getting back to work. Let's start now, ok? After all, it's only January.....

Have y'all seen this?? This amazing new magazine had to print it's premier issue THREE TIMES!
I can totally see why. It is full of slow-stitching projects I actually want to make and keep. Lots of beautiful designs in cross-stitch, punchneedle embroidery, and even rug hooking. I do hope you will subscribe to this quarterly, that way you won't miss our contribution in the January issue!
